Classification changes for Shelby Metro schools
Every 4 years, reclassification is done as the TSSAA tries to keep all of the schools with on a level playing field. This is done using the enrollment figures of each school. After the initial classifications are determined, schools have a short period of time to decide if they want to play up a level for whatever reason. They are not allowed to play down a level. That deadline this year is October 24. These are the Shelby Metro schools that are affected as of now so things could change in the next week or so. This classification is for the next 4 years (2013-2017).
