Post season honors are already rolling in for area Mississippi players. 11 players and 2 coaches have been chosen to participate in 2 different all star games after the season is over.
The Mississippi-Alabama All Star game will take place on Saturday, December 16 at the University of Southern Mississippi. 3 area players were selected for that game: Olive Branch DB Jaylon Reed & DL Fabian Lovett as well as DeSoto Central DL Donald Hall
The Bernard Blackwell North/South All Star game will be played Saturday, December 9 in Gulfport. 8 area players and coaches were selected to play for the North squad: Olive Branch DB Jerrick Reed & RB Demarcus Ware, Horn Lake DB Garickus Saulsberry & OL Kenyada Bennett, Hernando DL Detavious Davis, Lake Cormorant OL Adam Coe, Center Hill DL Justin Jackson and Southaven LB KenDarrius Reed. Horn Lake head coach Brad Boyette & Hernando head coach Will Wolfe are assistant coaches for the team.
