"Voice of the Dragons" retires

Anyone who has been in Collierville on a Friday night in the fall has no trouble recognizing that familiar voice going out across Herman Osteen Field. As anyone that has spent any time watching Collierville football you know at some point an opposing player will be “Stopped, Popped, and Dropped” by one your favorite Dragon players.

For the past eighteen years that saying and several others have come across the PA system courtesy of the Dragons play by play announcer Ted Reilly. Reilly who moved his family to Collierville in 1985 started working with the football team as the clock operator in 1990. He was then volunteered by his daughter Colleen, a CHS cheerleader, to announce Collierville varsity basketball games in 1993.
