Mississippi State snags another area star
Dan Mullen and the Mississippi State Bulldogs are making a living lately out of getting players out of the Shelby Metro area. Yesterday they received an early commitment from standout all around athlete Nikia Cathey from Westwood. It keeps getting better as the Bulldogs received a commitment from one of the most electrifying players in this area, Donald Gray from White Station. The 5'9, 180 lb senior was a threat to score every time he touched the ball this season. In 8 games, Gray caught 48 passes for 1,023 yds (21.3 per catch) and 15 TD's. Basically 1 out of 3 catches that he had on the year went for a touchdown. Gray averaged almost 170 all purpose yards a game this year and he finished with 20 total touchdowns for the Spartans and head coach Devin Rutherford. Gray had just received an offer from Nebraska earlier in the day.
