Another coaching vacancy

Just got off the phone with Tim Haney from Houston. He has stepped down to be able to spend more time with his family. Haney will still be teaching at Houston and does not rule out coaching again at some point down the road. Haney was 114-76 in 17 years at Houston. Houston reached the state quarterfinals three times and the semifinals twice under Coach Haney. Going into the 2012 season, Haney was second in the area in wins among active coaches, trailing only Bobby Alston of MUS.
