Kirby will be looking for a new
head football coach as Jeremy Stewart has resigned after four years as
the head man according to Kirby Principal Reginald Williams.
"Yes, he resigned yesterday and He is a consummate professional," Williams said.
"He is a good disciplinarian and any problems that existed with the
team he was always proactive in taking care of those problems.
In his four seasons at leading the program the Cougars went 5-35
including the best record in 2010 and 2011 when they went 2-8 both
seasons.
The Cougars broke a 17 game losing streak this year beating Wooddale 16-8 in week seven after going 0-10 last season.
Kirby went 1-9 this year.
"As an administrator that is what you are looking for in a coach that’s leading one of your major programs," Williams said.
