The TSSAA Board of Control has officially approved these changes. The classification period for football in the state of Tennessee is for 4 years. If after 2 years, a school's enrollment has increased or decreased by 20%, they can be moved up or down into a different classification. Changes this year also have all of the private schools that were playing with the public schools moving over to D2. There were quite a few area schools that were affected this time around. 6A & D2AAA stay the same
