St. George's head coach Brent Hill resigns

He is replaced by the team's defensive coordinator, David Carter. Hill will remain as the school's athletic director.

Former Houston head coach Tim Haney is moving to....

Arlington High School where he will be an assistant. As you recall, Haney stepped down from the head coaching position with the Mustangs to be able to spend more time with his family as he lives in the Bartlett area. Head coaches spend a tremendous amount of time not only coaching the game but taking care of all of the administrative needs as well. As an assistant, Haney will be able to spend that time with his family and still coach the game that he loves.

Hall of Famer and former Dallas Cowboy Michael Irvin

Coaching changes at Lausanne and SBEC

A couple of area schools making news on the coaching front. Former CBHS head coach Kevin Locastro is going to Lausanne to be an assistant and SBEC hires Greg Wallace to be their new head coach.  Wallace was the offensive coordinator at DeSoto Central last year.

Cordova, Houston and Munford name new head coaches

John Bush gets the "interim" removed from his title to become the head coach at Cordova. Former Millington & Alabama RB Ahmaad Galloway takes over for Matt Saunders at Munford & former Ridgeway & Memphis QB Will Hudgens takes over for Tim Haney at Houston.
