How much time will Memphis spend on local talent?

Last week, Harding offensive lineman Zach Collins verbally committed to the University of Memphis.  This is the 4th commitment that new head coach Justin Fuente has received this year from Memphis area football players.  But, how much time will Fuente spend recruiting the local talent that will dominate the preps headlines this season?  While Fuente has gone outside the Memphis area for players like Rivals 3-star  QB Braydan Scott (Oklahoma), he also grabbed local product Sam Craft from Olive Branch (also a 3-star QB).  With Memphis moving into the Big East next season can they convince more of the top local talent to stay home?  Will Fuente even spend time on players that are usually destine for the promise land of the SEC.

Other local talent and their destinations:

Jordan Wilkins, St. Benedict:   Auburn
Jason Carr, White Station:  Tennessee
Mark Dodson, Whitehaven: Ole Miss
Frank Harron, Central:  LSU
Darrius Sims, Whitehaven: Vanderbilt
Latevius Rayford, Central: Vanderbilt
Gerald Perry, Whitehaven: Vanderbilt
Herbert Moore, Whitehaven: Ole Miss

Fuente's roots will keep him in the Texas/Oklahoma area.  But will the lure of top athletes in his back yard get his attention?
