2012 BlueCross Bowl Bracket Release Show

Our updated "If the playoffs started today"

Here is a look at our projected playoffs for Tennessee based on current standings. A lot could change based on who wins Friday night not only here but across the state including seeding as you have to seed the first and second place teams before you seed the wild cards. All current first place teams are marked with an asterisk* and all second place teams are marked with two**.

As far as the Mississippi schools are concerned, Lewisburg is the #3 seed from their district in 4A. Lake Cormorant is the #3 seed and Center Hill the #4 seed in their district in 5A. Olive Branch is the #2 seed and Southaven the #3 seed in their district in 6A. West Memphis Christian would be the #3 seed in their district in the MPSA. Arkansas is based on a playoff points system that we don't fully understand but West Memphis looks good so far at 6-2.

If they started today in Tennessee:

It explains the process completely and will be updated every Tuesday throughout the regular season.

The top 24 teams in 1A and 2A would make the playoffs. The top 32 in 3A,4A,5A and 6A would make the playoffs. Some of the teams that have already automatically qualified are noted with an * although it doesn't include all of them.
