TSSAA playoff standings through week 7

It explains the process completely and will be updated every Tuesday throughout the regular season.

The top 24 teams in 1A and 2A would make the playoffs. The top 32 in 3A,4A,5A and 6A would make the playoffs. This does not take into consideration any team not in those numbers that automatically qualify based on finishing in the top two of their district.

Week 7 recaps

Houston 35 Ridgeway 27

One of two games on the night in District 15-AAA that featured teams battling for the top spot and neither one disappointed the fans. Ridgeway raced out to an early lead but the Mustangs came storming back to get the win. The Roadrunners led 21-10 with 217 left in the first half before Houston took over. Mustangs JR K CJ Stafford had a 52 yd FG and then Walker Lamberth hit Gavin McCrary with a TD pass to score 11 points in those final 2 minutes of the half to tie the game at 21. Houston added 2 TD's in the 3rd quarter for 25 unanswered points to take a 35-21 lead before Ridgeway's standout RB, Orlando Johnson scored his 2nd TD of the game. Johnson finished the night with 190 yds on only 18 carries to go with his two TD's. Braxton Conard had 143 yds passing and a TD pass to Toreano Barnes who caught 2 passes for 89 yds. JR SS Josh Lyons led the way on D for the Roadrunners with 10.5 tackles. For the Mustangs, JR RB Marquis Marshall had 152 yds on 22 carries. Lamberth had 75 yds rushing on 15 carries and a TD in addition to his TD pass. JR LB Sam Kempka led the Houston D with 8.5 tackles. Houston is now 6-1 (4-0) and will play Germantown next. Ridgeway is 4-3 (3-1) and will play Southiwnd next.

Week 6 Recaps

MUS 24 CBHS 14

This high profile matchup before a standing room only crowd went the way of the Owls. MUS led 10-7 at the half on the strength of their D which allowed only 83 yds-41 coming on one Ramadi Warren TD run. MUS SR QB Jordan Rodgers threw 2 TD passes in the third quarter-both to JR Devin Perry of 11 & 54 yds. Perry finished with 5 catches for 104 yds while Rodgers was 16-36 for 230 yds. CBHS JR QB Breck Ruddick was 18-36 for 201 yds and added a rushing TD as well. SR WR Anthony Miller caught 8 balls for 90 yds for the Purple Wave. MUS is 5-2 (1-0) and will play St. Benedict on Oct. 12 while CBHS is 5-1 (0-1) and will play ECS next.
